Staff were very friendly, more of a refined country town character that appreciated the client but was relaxed and genuine. The restaurant was humming when we arrived and having spent most of the day tasting wine, we opted not to have a drink first but go directly to be seated. We had an 8:45 dinner reservation on sunday night, which was fine as there is plenty to do in the surrounding Napa region and it was a chance to recover from a delightful lunch at Auberge du Soleil and the included wine, cheese and hors dóeuvres from 5:00pm to 6:30 at Lavender Inn. Unfortunately there appeared to be some availability issues due to renovations at the restaurant reducing the usual capacity so we booked Bouchon Bistro instead. We were hopeful to book this restaurant as we had followed Thomas Keller's ventures and had eaten at Per Se in New York. We booked our accommodation at Lavender Inn in Yountville around the corner from the The French Laundry. My wife and I had driven from San Francisco to the Napa Valley for a couple of days prior to starting our drive along Highway 1 to LA. Guests may also dine outdoors on Bouchon’s patio, while enjoying a picturesque view of Yountville. Keller enlisted renowned designer Adam D. The restaurant is located on Washington Street in Yountville, just steps from The French Laundry. The Vin en Carafe program at Bouchon features selections made exclusively for the restaurant from top wineries in Napa Valley and France. Bouchon’s seasonal menu and raw bar selections change throughout the year, while staples like roasted chicken, leg of lamb, and trout amandine remain as consistent, year-round favorites.
